    Introductory APR

A reduced or 0% interest rate offered for a limited window after account opening.

    What It Means

Introductory APRs typically last 6 to 21 months and apply to purchases, balance transfers, or both. Once the promotional period ends, the standard variable APR applies to any remaining balance. To use intro APRs effectively, plan to pay the balance in full before expiration and verify whether interest is true 0% or merely deferred. Late payments can void the introductory rate entirely.
