UseYourCredit.com is an educational site - not a financial app. We collect almost nothing because we need almost nothing.
No accounts, no PII
UseYourCredit.com does not require sign-up, login, or any personally identifiable information. We never ask for your Social Security number, full credit card number, bank login, or credit-bureau credentials.
Calculators run locally
Every tool - the Credit Score Simulator, Debt Payoff Visualizer, Utilization Optimizer, Loan Comparison, Refinance Calculator, and Mortgage Affordability Calculator - executes entirely in your browser. Your inputs are never transmitted to a server.
Minimal server-side data
Our hosting provider records standard web-server logs (IP address, user agent, page requested, timestamp) for security and reliability. We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful. We do not sell, rent, or share this data.
HTTPS everywhere
The entire site is served over HTTPS with HSTS via our hosting provider. All third-party scripts are limited to analytics and font delivery from reputable CDNs.
What we never do
- Pull your credit report or credit score
- Store your financial inputs from any calculator
- Sell, rent, or trade visitor data to third parties
- Run aggressive ad-tech, fingerprinting, or session-replay scripts
- Send unsolicited marketing email
What we do collect
- Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request path) for security and uptime
- Aggregate page-view analytics (Google Analytics + Statcounter) - no personal identifiers

Reporting a security issue
If you discover a vulnerability, broken link, or anything that looks like a security issue, please email us before sharing publicly. We aim to acknowledge reports within 2 business days.
