Where affiliate disclosures appear on our pages, and how compensation is (and isn't) allowed to influence content.
This page expands on our sitewide Ad & Affiliate Disclosure with the specific placement rules our editors follow.
Where disclosures appear
- An inline notice immediately above every comparison table or card grid that contains at least one affiliate link.
- A short notice near any single recommendation that uses an affiliate link.
- A sitewide disclosure linked from the footer of every page.
Material disclosures are never hidden in the footer alone when a page contains a product recommendation that could pay a commission.
What compensation cannot do
- It cannot determine whether a product is included on the site.
- It cannot change the ordering or ranking of products in a comparison.
- It cannot change our written evaluation, pros/cons, or risk warnings.
- It cannot cause an unfavorable product to be described as favorable.
Sponsored content
We do not currently publish sponsored articles, advertorial content, or paid guest posts. If this changes, any sponsored content will be clearly labeled at the top of the page and excluded from editorial rankings and lists.
Reader impact
Clicking an affiliate link never changes your price and never affects your application terms. Approval, rates, fees, and rewards are set by the issuer or lender.
